The wisest fairy and I watched most of All About My Mother last night. I kept saying, "This looks like an Almodovar movie, only it's more cohesive and restrained" (the movie info only listed two of the actresses, and no directorial credits; it didn't even list Penelople Cruz, strangely enough). As it turns out, it was Almodovar, and was widely cited as his most cohesive and "mature" work. Definitely worth checking out, for those of you who are interested.
