I've just taken fairyhead to the airport, from whence she leaves for Frankfurt. In nineteen short* days, she'll return. In a moment of opportunity we had dinner last at Cafe Lily (the French restaraunt we originally intended to visit was closed for a private party). I want to say I had the lamb of god, but then people will think it's Easter; instead, I'll say I had some of the very best lamb I've ever eaten in my life. Today, we lounged about in a dual effort to calm nerves and soak up every last moment of togetherness (and watched Chronicles of Riddick, which was a much better movie than we had reason to believe).

On the upside, I'll do less environmental damage for the next three weeks, since I'm in the Prius rather than the Saturn. On the downside, no fairyhead.

Oof. Long, lonely time.

At least she's someplace cool... it'd be worse to sacrifice 19 days of her for the sake of Oklahoma or something, right?

In a sense, yes, but it would make phone communication easier to schedule: six hours is harder than two.

But, I'll get to hear her speak bits of German when she gets back. She's so cute when she does that.
