dream patterns

Over the past month or two, when I remember weird dreams, much more often than not there are two 'other' people there at some point that weren't previously, and almost fit into the dream context, but something about them tends to nag at me, beyond the "How did these two people suddenly show up?" and into more like a "this is weird/something is wrong/extradiegetic" sort of way. It's strange to see this pattern looking back, but it's definitely there.

Interesting question. I don't *think* so, but I still haven't figured out who they are. It almost seems like they're from outside of the dream experience, but have come in, almost willingly/intentionally?
