Pondering feelings of abandonment and perception make me wonder; are there people who feel I've abandoned them?

I would expect so. Not in that I'm saying you are an abandoner, but that you've drifted away from people in the past and it would make sense that, whether accurate or not, at least one of those folks felt like they'd been abandoned.

You've got two people and two set of perceptions and filters, which can result in drastically different outlooks on the same set of experiences.
