I'm prone to slight hypochondria, mostly centered around my heart and circulatory system. In part this is due to the increased risk I undertake for my hormone therapy; in part, it's a side effect of my perpetual disaster modeling in my head; I'm sure some part is looking for places that I have failed in a way that is physically manifest and negative.

Trying to be a grownup about this, I had a physical today. I registered as high blood pressure, which doesn't surprise me though it does disappoint. I wasn't super high, but high enough to take note. The 30 day plan is to exercise more (which I've been terrible about due to stress and anxiety), cut out salt (read: reduce takeout and cook more), and we'll see where that goes.

I turned up a heart murmur, which I think is a first. I had an EKG, which will be analyzed. I need to call next week and schedule another cardiology echo, and pick up a heart monitor to wear for 30 days.

This is actually relieving, even if some of this will be a pain. I'm lucky enough to have good healthcare (that should be available to everyone), and can schedule time around appointments (ditto).
