what the hell's wrong with me?

We're 33% short of team members today (including the lead), it's Monday (ie, busy), and we're having application issues affecting a nationwide client. Me? I'm loving it. I've already arranged free lunch for the team with the office principal, helping get everything covered client/knowledge wise, and I'm zooming with energy and optimistic.

Weird.

Ah... moments of action, when it actually feels like work matters... :)

Pffff, I know. Has it gone back to normal... or worse?

Today was the first day since I got here, I think, that I've been enthusiastic about what I doing at work. I don't expect that to last, of course, but it was still nice to feel.

staying up late

My own (cynical? pessimistic?) opinion about that is that I'll bored with anything that I do 40+ hours a week, week after week. At least, I don't believe excitement can last through that kind of day after day existence. So I'm generally satisfied with most days being OK, and enjoy the few that are really fun. :)
