As obssessed as I have become with Boris' situation, and my reaction to it, I feel guilty that I'm not more obssessed, that I can still function normally, and even enjoy things in the midst of this whole aweful, horrible, predictable situation. I know it's not rational, but knowing that doesn't prevent me from feeling bad about not feeling worse.

Fairyhead suggests that I'm in crisis mode, and that if there is more sadness or depression, it will come after the dreaded inevitable. I am trying not to break down around Boris, because I know he worries when I'm upset, but it strikes me as strange that I'm not breaking down not around him more.

Thanks, though; you're one of several important voices encouraging me not to be harsh with myself, and I do try to listen.
