It's sometimes good to keep a very liberal idea of what "real" is. If it's real enough for you to react to, then it should be included in the process.
So much of what we're expected to treat as "real", clearly isn't. You can drive yourself crazy with other people's agendas.

Um, yeah... As in, It's possible, but not inevitable. And it's not the only thing to drive oneself crazy with, one's own agenda can be bonkers, too.

Cursed lack of inflection on the internet! That was meant to imply that worrying about the agendas of others has been largely instrumental in making me as crazy as I am.
