Day wasted

After a day of utter uselessness, I can't help feeling almost cheated. I've nothing to show, no pleasant memories, no new insights, nothing. Damn, I hate that sense of loss (of potential). And today, it's back to the grinder routine. Ugh.

Reminder: Stand up for yourself more

zB, when being scolded for taking sick days by the manager who missed all of January, and who schedules doctor's appoinments during his shift, no doubt directed to scold me by the manager who leaves the store unmanaged to run errands, leaves to be home with his kids, or to go to their sporting events, with no worry about what it does for coverage, etc.

So what do I do? I don't mention that; I think to myself, "That's not a fair shot to take; this isn't about them right now".

Yeah, I'm an idiot sometimes.
