Oct. 19th, 2003 11:39 pmI have been told my actions have consequences.
I agree.
I am so well aware of the possible consequences for most of my actions that these consequences seem to overshadow most, if not all, possible actions. I am often paralyzed by the awareness of these consequences of my actions.
I cannot imagine waking one day and being free from this hyperawareness of consequence, of being able to act with selfish impunity.
How does one act, knowing that one may easily harm others?
How does one claim territory for oneself without wounding those who don't understand the price and consequences of their own actions upon one?
I move through social interactions as I move through space: hyperaware, economically, and warily.
