to all my artsy pals
Mar. 6th, 2005 03:05 pmI am in search of new art/symbology to carry with me forever, and I have a pretty clear idea what I'm looking for, but have no representational artistic ability whatsoever, which brings me to the point of this post. If anyone is interested in placing some artwork, here is what I'm looking for.
rain I'm looking for falling rain to place upon my right upper arm. I'm thinking of drops with lines behind them, as can usually be found in graphic novels to represent, well, rain. The angle of descent, I'm thinking, is maybe around 60-70 degrees, falling right to left (the angle meant to indicate a turning of my face and torso up, into the rain)
the sun (again) This time, I know exactly what I'm looking for, if only I can explain it. If you've ever done this (and I'm willing to grant that no one else does, for various reasons), glanced at the sun, then away and closed your eyes: I'm after the image that remains and is visible behind your eyelids. To me, it's a bright, perfect circle surrounded by an irregular nebula/nimbus of light. Usually for me, the nebula/nimbus is thinner at the lower right corner, as I tend to glance down and away to the right. I'm envisioning the sun itself being unmarked flesh, and the nimbus being the ink.
So, if any of you have the inclination, I'd be greatly appreciative, and would credit the work (though probably no signature).
