(no subject)

Despite some very nice intervals and interactions, today was one very long experiment in not being able to win, to gain ground, to swim against the current. I hate this. I feel like I'm going backward, not forward, or maybe my impressions of progress were fantastic and unsustainable. You can't win if you don't play, but not playing doesn't keep you from losing.
