I am full of knives today/again/still.

So, really, if you're going to say you advocate for LGBT(QQI) issues and people, but all you ever talk about are fags and/or dykes, why the fuck are the other letters even present? Wouldn't it be a good idea to occationally talk about the others, just to maybe give even the appearance of inclusion? Is it a cynical ploy to claim more power for speaking for more groups, while giving nothing to them in terms of support or acknowledgedment? Is it because some big hypocrites in "the movement" have added those letters, so everyone from them on down does the same without question? I'm not advocating seperating issues that are, on many levels, related. What I am advocating is living up to what one claims, or at least trying to.

On a maybe related question, didn't 'transgender' used to be an umbrella term that encompassed all sorts of gender variance? Since when has it come to mean "transsexual, only we don't like that word because it has sex in it"? If that's the term under which I have to live, you can bet your ass I'm going to fight for the right to exist, and the space in which to do so.

Made the call today. I hadn't realized how stressful it was until I noticed how hot I had become after I'd finished.

Three weeks until the investigation into the potential commodification of self begins.

Went to appointment with therapist; therapist didn't show.

Knives in the stomach and a small voice of reason convince me it's probably a bad idea to go to a bar instead.

-is it possible to engage without falling into essentialist traps?
-acknowledgement and the (evil) reflexivity of Lacanian recognition
-trust and the feeling of quotas/discomfort
-criteria: what, if anything, makes me different from otherkin?
-symbology: knives, being offered one and not wanting it; physical metaphor
-month or longer new improved flavor of depression
-loss of things I used to enjoy, nothing to replace them
