(no subject)

All I wanted to do was help "the community",
the same community that's never done anything for me,
but it seemed like a chance to try and help others,
if indirectly,
by just being honest.
What was it?
Was my shirt not quite tight enough,
my speech pattern not quite as coded in inflection?
Am I too tall?
Too non-normative in presentation?
(I'll leave that irony as it stands)
