There was a global email to my work group this morning from our manager, informing us that not only are all calls being archived, but also all IM conversations, and that they're all being reviewed, apparently. To quote:
"Please keep the nature of your conversations professional and clean as you are working in a technical environment with responsibilities to your customers, teammates and the overall organization. Please consider this a 1st warning as a few conversations have already been brought to my attention."
Honestly, I have no idea what I talk about, and whether it would be "appropriate" or not, but... damn. Archiving I understand, but monitoring seems more than a little excessive.
