I worry that you view life as comprised of necessary extremes; either things are so good and easy as to feel effortless, from which naturally flows great bounty, or so slow and difficult that it seems a perpetual grind of suffering and darkness without escape. Just because you feel like you deserve the good when it comes your way (and I think you do) doesn't mean the bad is causally punishing you when it comes. I know from extremism, but I'm not suggesting that life is full of any number of things between the Elysian Fields and Tartarus, but that it's full of a whole bunch of wildly varied things that have no relation to either. I worry that you're so caught up walking the tightrope you place between your poles that the things that don't cross that path seem forever out of reach. I know you probably don't believe it, but when I poke at you, it's not to make you fall, but to give you access to so much more.
