37 degrees, the sky a low sheet of fast moving grey clouds, nearly invisible texture sliding over very active wind, misty drizzle falling, and all the sane people inside their buildings or cars. Me, not so sane, out in it, loving the feeling of walking in an area where no one walks, in weather no one walks in. Just me, the sky, the wind and a flock of birds I initially startled, but then settled down, convinced I was no threat. A swing in my step, song in my ears, on my lips, interrupted by a smile that just couldn't be held back. Every lunch should be like that.
