What might it say about me if I leap to the defense of a specific group as though I have a personal stake in what's going down, but steadfastly refuse close affiliation with them? What if I fight like hell to maintain arm's reach, refusing to be both pushed away or pulled closer? Is this what '-phobia' looks like?
