Driving in to work today, the sky was a warm, soft damp gray ('a' rather than my usual 'e' because it seems warmer), with no trace of the sun to be seen. My daily over the right shoulder glance at the river showed only a misty mass, cool, impenetrable and beautiful. As I topped the next hill, I glanced towards where I knew the sun to be, and realized that I didn't miss or mourn its absence, because I knew it was there. At that precise moment, I thought of you, and laughed aloud in delight at the insight.
