anti-trans hour in reruns!

So 8:00-9:00 was a pretty unfriendly hour of network tv watching last night.
Fox replayed House: Skin Deep.
House uncovers a startling secret when he treats a teenage supermodel for heroin addiction.
The secret? She's technically male with a birth defect that makes her immune to testoterone, thus leading to her "extra feminine" appearance. The episode closes with House saying, "The ultimate woman is a man". Nice.
UPN replayed Veronica Mars: Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough, in which one character hires a trans prostitute to have sex with his brother, as a "joke". Naturally, the brother is repulsed, and the trans prostitute is of course othered.
I suppose, if I were an appropriately grateful transgendered person, I should be happy at the scraps of media attention, but you know what? I'm not, so no thanks, assholes.
