I like the way my voice sounds after spending hours in a loud bar the night before. It's similar to how it sounds to me when I've got a bad sore throat, but not the same. Because of strain the night before, I can't hold my vocal chords the ways I usually do, so it's deeper and richer. That's one check for 'already present' as opposed to 'affect'.

Getting out early in the morning, even if just to get an overpriced bagel, is glorious on the weekends. Most others aren't out, and I can enjoy the start of the day for itself much more easily.
