Wow. I am so sorry you had to deal with that. I have no good advice. When I deal with my own familial pressures (usually related to breeding) I just attempt to ignore them, but I wind up suppressing my righteous indignation and making snide/nasty comments thinly veiled as humor. Unfortunately, it doesn't really help the situation.
