Day three of x. I can't decide if I'm getting used to things, like the frog in the water (which is a horrible metaphor, but the one that comes to mind), or I'm getting better at find a productive, maybe even useful, way to deal with things. On the work front, we're finding a balance point, and I suspect that will hold until someone, or a lot of someones, start to get sick. On a personal front, I had a bit of panic when the order I placed for cat litter and food was cancelled because Petco was closed (as in, not "closed for the day", but "Closed until further notice"). Luckily, Kroger is still open, so I'll have to wait three days until I get what our cats need.
That triggers one of my larger fears, though: not being able to safely get what I need to take care of the creatures who depend on me. I'm very cautious about going into crowded areas like stores until I have something like gloves, because J's health is so tenuous. In theory, we'll get sanitary gloves Friday; if that happens, I can shop more myself, either very early or late, with less worry, and less need for someone else to put themselves at risk for our household (of course we tip like crazy, but still).
