I'm slow sometimes, or get caught up in too much high level thinking and lose sight of what's ultimately simple, but I feel like I've come upon something that has helped me resolve some really troubling internal conflict about, surprisingly enough, marriage.
I'm against state sanctioned, legal marriage. I'm very for personal, private, or religious affirmation or declaration of connection, relationship, love, whatever anyone would like to call it (Edited to add: so long as it doesn't rely on discrimination or prohibitions for others. All this other stuff is an unnecessary mess in my head that comes from letting other people define the terms of the conversation.
Probably not meaningful to anyone but me, but it relieves me a lot.
