Does the positionality of power enable malaise? More specifically, is it only the priveleged who have the capacity for malaise?

Contextually, this came up in conversation with She Who is Resistant, who maintains that the above is absolutely, undeniably true. Me, I'm not so sure.

While I don't think that I've worried about post-modern theory, ever, I know when I was the most materially impoverished and dealing with a lot of emotional and physical abuse, my worries encompassed much more than just how I was going to afford to eat. That general feeling of dis-ease was an almost constant in my life. I could never decide whether it was a physical or mental kind of unhealthiness, but it was always there, nagging.
