That single word has probably been my biggest stumbling block in mathematics, writing, personal relationships, spiritual pursuits, and pedagogy in general.
I'm pretty OK with the externally oriented 'why', but it's the 'internal', or worse, 'internal as projection/anticipation of inevitability of external origination' that pack the tough punches.
