My cell phone died a watery death this weekend, so if any of you think I'm ignoring you, just this once I'm not. Hopefully, I'll have a replacement this evening.

if you haven't tried to turn it on yet, cell phones can actually survive being showered, dunked, and even washed if you remove the battery and allow the whole thing to dry out for a few days.

This tip will not help, of course, if your phone lies resting at the bottom of the briny deep.

I tried the drying, to no avail. Luckily, I got a replacement for the low, low price of $50.
