I tried getting in touch with a jokingly assigned personification last night, not without some trepidation, with interesting results. The results I could tell were in the 'maybe/probably' range; I may never know if there were other results.

I tried directly appealing to Sleep, not jokingly, for the first time.

How did you understand probably/maybe?

I laid(?) in bed, still not sleepy, then decided to try and reach out to Sleep. First, though, I had to summon an image, and that was surprisingly difficult. Once I got that, though, I tried to call her, to get her to come and spend some time with me. Almost immediately, I feel into that not quite sleep, not quite awake state where I could hear people talking, and slowly came to see them as my sense of my physical surroundings faded. As I was almost wholly invested in their environment, I snapped back to myself, rolled over, and then sleep descended.
