Not only have I been very distracted lately, and out of touch last week, but my phone is dead or dying (it won't detect signal most of the time, and drops it like it's hot on the rare occasions it does find one). If anyone's been trying to contact me via cell, I've not been ignoring you. I need to get it replaced, but I don't know when that's going to happen.

Pattern Recognition (which is kicking my ass in all the good ways, so far) had a rather unusual bookmark tucked into Chapter 6. Know anything about that?

A good book is like a box of cracker jacks; sometimes, the prize inside is a stupid plastic toy, but sometimes it's stick on tattoos :)

I'm glad you're liking it. I really do think it's Gibson's best yet.
