but what's the conflict?

Seven of Swords (Futility): An opportunity to withdraw from a hopeless situation and fight another day. Disengagement from a struggle you should never have been involved in. A desperate attempt to resolve a matter without conflict. The use of cleverness or outright deception to turn the tide in your favor.

'what's the use...it wont's happen because...I can't do it because..." Futility is wanting something and believing one can't have it. The central sword is what is desired, the other six swords are all the reasons one tells oneself, and believes, it can't be had, which creates the feeling of futility. This is the Moon in Aquarius: at a deep subconscious level (Moon) there is a desire and love to set a new idea into motion (Aquarius).
When a person is drawn toward this card it is an indication that some new idea is being stopped from development and being expressed by thoughts and beliefs that one can't do it; there is a sense of resignation, of giving up, of futility. Some event seven years before, some previous failure of frustration, may have produced this feeling. There is a desire to break through this feeling of futility and there is the possibility to do so int he next seven weeks or seven months. The Chariot can be drawn upon to aid in setting this new idea into motion.
