adrienmundiIt's not one of my favorite numbers, by far. I tend to think of it as clumsy, common, inelegant and unfortunately hegemonic. I like zero just fine ("my hero..."), but ten has never been something I looked upon with any degree of affection or personal meaning.
However, context creates meaning, and this is no exception. It was ten years ago that I decided I absolutely had to go see the cloyingly pretentious Black Tape for a Blue Girl at the aggressively unfriendly hipster wannabe locale of the Red Light Cafe because I'd heard on good authority that the tiny, sparkling person with whom I'd started to become obsessed would be there, and she was. We mark the date from that night, when we both began actively stalking one another. Stalking is a hell of a lot easier when you live in the same house now.
I think ten might be OK.
