Since I've stopped eating all meat but the occasional fish, it seems like I'm hungry a lot more often, which for me is saying something. As fairyhead made embarrassingly clear, I can actually do the math on that, but I'm having to learn new food coping skills. Thankfully, this change is rooted in a larger sense of what's right for me, my ethics, and to some extent, the world; it makes me less cranky making the adjustments than for my hypoglaecemia*.

*Based on symptoms and research: I've never been tested, just (grudgingly) made the adjustments.

I love beans, nuts, olives and avocados for healthy, filling, high calories. Don't know how those affect the other though.

I gave up on starchy foods a while back, and it's made eating difficult for me in these modern times.

But I find a way to keep my engine running for now. I know what I would be eating if I had the chance.
