I realized today that I hug people weirdly sometimes. My right arm goes around, like normal, but my left arm seems to want to go under the other person's right arm, then up like a lazy reverse sleeper hold, rather than around the torso. I'm not sure how long I've done that, or what differentiates the times I do and the times I hug like a "normal" person. Weird.

I don't think that is weird. Sometimes it is easier/more comfortable to hug someone using the angled arms. It brings your hearts closer together.
