(between 5:15 and 6:15 AM)

Initially, it seemed I was on a rocky shore with a ragtag, rundown group of generic mediaeval/renaissance adventurers, as if after a shipwreck or something. It was hot and sunny (not quite tropical?), and everyone was armed. I had a machete that I kept trying to make into a shortsword, or falchion, in my mind, at first.

At some point, there was another group in a small boat heading to the shore near our position; it seemed that they, too, had suffered some ship issues, and were escaping. There seemed to be two groups; one "proper", fully dressed, nonviolent, and hence, not a concern, and the other more "piratey", sparsely dressed (for the heat), armed, and something to be worried about. The latter group was moving past us (as in, walking past, within several paces). I remember reaching for a second weapon as they came closer, and ended up with a spiked axe in my left hand; it surprised me that it didn't feel unfamiliar. One of the first "pirates" stopped, grinning and eyeing our group. He was shirtless, shoeless, long ragged hair, and holding two thin bladed cutlass-like weapons. I remember speaking up, saying, "If you attack us, you die. If he (indicating another "pirate" who stopped, presumably to see if there was a fight coming) attacks us, you die." The "pirate"'s smile faded, and they moved on. I was suprised at the efficacy of my threat, and even more surprised to realize I meant it, and could carry through with a veritable certainty of winning.

There was a sudden shift, like a combination between live action roleplaying and "real". There was a small village of huts, with our group and other non-piratical people, still armed with real but blunted weapons (I remember trying to blunt the edge of my machete, but it wouldn't really take). It felt both real and gamelike at once. There was a small clearing under some trees, at the edge of our village. I remember walking out of the hut, looking up at the trees, and seeing three people hanging suspended at odd angles. They had strange angular feathered headdresses, and feathered pants or belts (hard to tell from the angle). Someone else saw and yelled "Gargoyles!". There was a tacit assumption that this was a gamemaster induced encounter, and everyone rushed to defend against them. Suddenly, there was like a dozen or more black clad gamemasters, the three costumed "gargoyles", and a collection of villagers/players. It came to organizational pre-combat, and it was suddenly apparent that there were a lot more than three "gargolyes" (maybe there were only three costumes, or only three game masters fit enough to go shirtless?). Before it got any weirder, the alarm went off.

no problem...my dreams have been straight forward for so long...even my subconcious has gotten lazy

i forgot the roleplaying/reality fuzziness aspect, your more recent entries reminded me...if felt like the subconcious saying "okay here's the format i've chosen, pay attention"...did anybody in the dream the gargoyles especially) resemble in looks/body language/feel like some one in the real world???

mom had a bit of precog...she was a wac during the vietnam conflict...the side effect was that she knew who was not coming home alive...she blocked it after that..she also had/has an intuative sence of when doctors were wrong about a dianosis...nurses intuition i guess...she might not be able to tell you the right one right off but she would keep looking till she found it...the only time i had true precog was when i was using the cards...other than that it was more present cog in dreams...never conserning anyone i really cared about and never in time to do anything about it anyway... it was never anything i could control or guide...trying to force it shut it right down
something that might be of use although it will sound wierd...read drawing with the left side of you brain...the sensation i got when i cogged was the same as when i switch brain sides
