I used to be all about the pinot noir, but now my favorite tends to be syrah or shiraz. My favorite-favorite is EXP Syrah.
Though, I have a weakness for sweet, juicy reds as well. A good Beaujolais Nouveau. And the so-not-good, but so tasty slightly bubbly Riunite Lambrusco. And there's this winery out in the Finger Lakes of NY, Bully Hill, which has the absolute best label art, but also makes "Banty Red" which tastes like sweet, alcoholic cherry juice. Mmm, mmm.
Now I wanna get into some wine, but I don't think that's the best idea right after breakfast. :-)
I will have to try that. I have avoided any Fat Bastard wines after having one of their whites at a party and really not liking it. But I won't hold a grudge. :-)
Yellow Tail Shiraz is also quite good, especially considering the price. And it is available in those honkin' big bottles... good for parties.
Speaking of which... Who's up for a wine store visit and informal wine tasting next time I visit? We can have some Weber Zeller Schwarz Katz for fairyhead!! :-)
How could I forget the summery goodness of a good beaujolais? And then there was this amazingly good Greek wine (who's name I cannot recall) that I had; wow.
